This is the 5th post in my series to give you the Keys to Unlocking Your Power and Presence as a Woman Leader.
What’s needed to create better work-life balance and well-being so you can shine more brightly? Here is the 4th step you need to know in order to expand your power and presence as a leader:
Step 4: Discover your Leadership Presence. What impact do you have on others when you walk in a room, even before you utter a word? More importantly, what kind of impact do you WANT to have on the room? When you become more mindful of your own energy, you’ll start to see how it can positively (or negatively) impact those around you. You’ve probably had the chance to work with someone who has a really bad attitude, yes? Thinking back on that moment did you enjoy being around or working with that “Negative Nellie?” Probably not so much!
As you identify your values, passions, visions, principles, and strengths and start to consciously embody them, this tends to expand your presence as a leader in a positive way. This is the point when you get to mix that special blend of unique ingredients into your special sauce.
Science has proven that your energy field radiates out in all directions around you by about two feet. So naturally, as your confidence, joy and clarity rises, your energy expands in all directions along with it, creating that intangible positive feeling for others that has them want to be in your presence because it helps to raise their own energy as their mirror neurons get activated, and then their energy becomes more aligned with yours. Just remember though, the person with the strongest energy wins… (Conversely, if there is a “Negative Nellie” in the room their bad attitude can bring the whole room down too).
